We're delighted that you're considering a Visiting Week at Sudbury Valley School. Before you decide, we want to make sure you understand the unique nature of the school and the responsibilities that come with being part of our community.
At Sudbury Valley, we believe that young people are capable of making meaningful choices and taking responsibility for themselves. As a result, students are given a high degree of freedom and are expected to manage their own time, activities, and decisions. This approach differs from that of most schools, where adults closely supervise students throughout the day.
Please note that Sudbury Valley does not undertake a duty to directly supervise students or visiting students. Our educational philosophy is based on the belief that students, regardless of age, are independent and responsible individuals who are accountable for their own actions. For a complete explanation of the school's rules and expectations, please refer to the Sudbury Valley School Handbook.
Complete the Visiting Week Request Form below, and we'll contact you as soon as possible to confirm scheduling. Please submit a separate form for each student.
